High Chief Pub Juror
The Lower Red is one of St Albans's foremost real ale pubs, and the current manager also runs the Alehouse micro brewery. The downside is that the LRL has such a high turnover of ales that if you find one you fancy there's a good chance it won't be there when you return. A recent backwards step is that the pub no longer opens at lunchtime. Very much a curate's egg, I'm afraid.
